Mental Health for Educators
As educators, we are trained to recognize the warning signs of mental health issues in our students, and rarely hesitate to recommend a student speak to someone about how they are feeling . Giving advice or suggestions on coping with academic stress to students may come easily, but taking time to reflect on our own mental health may be more challenging. This is surprising given that many teachers describe their work as often stressful, and burn-out is a well documented issue in the field. That is why I wanted to make a space on this website for relaxation resources for educators!! These are some of my favorite videos, apps, and books. I hope you find them helpful!! Also, feel free to stop by my office if you ever need to talk or just need a quiet place to take a break.
